Non-face-to-face consultations and medicine delivery operating normally
Helping patients who have difficulty finding medical institutions
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Even during the Chuseok holiday, a significant number of non-face-to-face medical consultation platforms will operate normally to alleviate medical service gaps. By maintaining services including consultations, health counseling, and medicine delivery, these platforms are expected to assist groups who find it difficult to visit medical institutions in person.
According to the industry on the 8th, medical consultations through major domestic non-face-to-face medical consultation applications (apps) will continue as usual during the holiday period. ‘DoctorNow’ has entered a medical gap response system, inspecting the operational status of about 1,500 affiliated medical institutions and plans to allow the use of non-face-to-face consultations and prescription medicine delivery services even during the holiday. To resolve health-related questions that may arise during the holiday, real-time health counseling by professional medical staff will be operated 24 hours a day, and a system has been established to search for nearby hospitals and pharmacies if face-to-face consultation is necessary based on the user’s location.
DoctorNow previously provided medical services to 94,000 people through normal operations during the Lunar New Year holiday. Jang Ji-ho, CEO of DoctorNow, said, “Even during holidays when it is difficult to visit medical institutions, people will be able to enjoy optimal medical benefits anytime and anywhere through non-face-to-face consultations and real-time health counseling services,” adding, “We will strive to provide smooth services through cooperation with affiliated medical institutions.”
‘My Doctor,’ operated by Meraki Place, will also operate non-face-to-face consultation services normally from the 9th to the 12th. Along with holiday consultations, medicine delivery services and customer center operations to resolve customer inconveniences will all be provided. In some areas of Seoul and Gyeonggi where demand for consultations and prescriptions is high, patients can receive prescribed medicine via same-day quick delivery until 10 p.m. After consultation. In other regions, the service will provide functions to check nearby operating pharmacies and send prescriptions so that patients can receive their medicine as quickly as possible.
BlueAnt’s non-face-to-face consultation platform ‘Ollacare’ will also operate its rapid non-face-to-face consultation service ‘Apply for Immediate Consultation’ and quick delivery services ‘Olla Same-day Delivery’ and ‘Visit Pharmacy’ normally from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. during the Chuseok holiday. The medical professional counseling channel ‘Olla Community’ will also provide normal counseling support during the holiday.
