Hunet Makes Strategic Investment in Quiz& Operator 'Soft&'... "Edutech Synergy"
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Lifelong education company Hunet announced on the 7th that it has confirmed a strategic investment in EduTech specialist Softn. Following the acquisition of coding solution company MentorIt in June, Hunet is accelerating the expansion of its EduTech business by investing in Softn.
This investment was jointly participated by Hunet Ventures, Hunet's corporate venture capital (CVC). Going forward, Hunet Ventures plans to create synergy and new customer value between the two companies through practical accelerating, such as connecting QuizN's B2B model 'Groups' with Hunet's corporate education services and embedding Hunet's educational content into QuizN services to provide them as a subscription model.
Softn's flagship quiz platform service 'QuizN' has attracted attention in schools and corporate education since its launch in January 2020, surpassing 10 million cumulative visitors within a year. It is a domestic EduTech platform that combines the functions of overseas online class tools such as Kahoot, Padlet, and Mentimeter into one and offers them at a reasonable price. It can be used anywhere quizzes are needed, including classes and homework at schools, as well as online lectures, team building, new employee onboarding, and recreation for companies and organizations. Currently, overseas service launches are being prepared in Taiwan and Japan.
Jung Sin-woon, Head of QuizN Business, said, "Through this investment attraction, we expect to accelerate the development of the new corporate quiz platform 'Groups' currently in preparation," adding, "We will strive to present innovative EduTech services equipped with fun, competition, and learning functions to customers of Hunet and Softn."
