In the weekly women's golf world rankings officially announced on the 5th (local time), she earned 0.86 points, jumping an impressive 54 spots from 194th last week. She accumulated points by defeating defending champion Kim Su-ji (26) in a playoff at the KG·Edaily Ladies Open of the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, which concluded on the 4th at the Turning Point Country Club (par 72) in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province. Hwang Jeong-mi, who debuted in 2020, secured her first career victory in her 65th tournament appearance.
