[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] Military authorities announced on the 5th that they have adjusted unit training and soldier leave schedules to prevent damage in anticipation of Typhoon No. 11 'Hinnamnor' making landfall on the Korean Peninsula.
According to the Ministry of National Defense, various schedules such as training have been changed at the discretion of frontline unit commanders to minimize typhoon damage.
So far, about 50 individual unit training schedules have been postponed, and approximately 30 transportation schedules and routes for supplies have also been adjusted.
The return time of about 400 soldiers on leave has been delayed until after the typhoon passes on the 6th.
For those scheduled to be discharged, the discharge date remains unchanged, but changes such as granting additional leave at the commander’s discretion to allow early discharge have been made.
