Lee Hak-su, Jeongeup Mayor, Urges Full Preparedness for Typhoon ‘Hinnamnor’ Approaching North
[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Lee Hak-su, mayor of Jeongeup, has ordered to strengthen the response posture to prepare for damage caused by the northward approach of Typhoon No. 11 ‘Hinnamnor’.
On the 5th, Mayor Lee presided over a video executive meeting and said, “As Hinnamnor is moving northward toward our country, Jeongeup is expected to be within the affected area between the 5th and 7th,” adding, “Please ensure thorough typhoon preparedness, including special inspections and management of various workplaces, hazardous areas, and facilities, emergency inspections of rainwater and sewage pipes and manholes, and checking the rapid response manual for emergency situations.”
He also urged eup, myeon, and dong heads and related personnel to carefully check facilities and sites such as vinyl greenhouses, livestock facilities, and crops in preparation for heavy rain and strong winds, and to conduct frequent surveillance.

Along with this, Mayor Lee emphasized the need to make every effort for COVID-19 prevention and livelihood stabilization so that citizens can have a safe and prosperous Chuseok holiday period.
The mayor requested thorough inspections of matters closely related to citizens’ lives such as medical care, quarantine, disaster and accident response, prices, and transportation, and asked to do their best to create a clean urban environment and a pleasant holiday atmosphere through efficient collection of household waste.
In particular, he ordered to inform the correct waste separation and disposal methods and waste disposal dates, which frequently occur during the holiday, through the homepage and SNS, and to minimize citizen inconvenience through mobile cleaning teams and environmental maintenance by eup, myeon, and dong.
