SBA Supports Early-Stage Startups in Entering Overseas Markets
Establishing a Global Startup Ecosystem Based on the Seoul Global Startup Talent Hub
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Seoul Business Agency (SBA) announced on the 5th that it has newly launched a global scale-up program through the Seoul Global Startup Talent Hub to support early-stage startups in expanding globally.
The Seoul Global Startup Talent Hub is a global specialized startup incubation center operated by SBA, providing office space and intensive programs for startups aiming to enter the global market.
The Global Scale-up program is a customized global growth program designed considering that the main target countries vary by startup item and the required fields differ by growth stage. After selecting institutions with expertise in overseas investment and acceleration through a public competition, joint support is provided. The two selected institutions, Nautilus Investment and CNT Tech, operate investment networking and cooperation programs by major countries such as Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia.
The Seoul Global Startup Talent Hub completed matching 8 companies per institution through open recruitment and evaluation. The Global Scale-up program will be intensively operated for about four months targeting the 16 finally selected companies. In particular, it is expected to support successful scale-up by linking domestic and overseas investment and overseas subsidiary establishment support for excellent companies.
