[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] On the 3rd, traffic congestion occurred in several parts of downtown Seoul due to rallies and events.
On this day, the Candlelight Transition Action held a 'Candlelight March' in front of Premier Place in Jung-gu, Seoul, demanding the resignation of President Yoon Seok-yeol and a special investigation into First Lady Kim Geon-hee. Conversely, the Liberty Unification Party conducted a ten-million signature campaign for free unification in front of Donghwa Duty-Free Shop. They held signature campaigns, campaigns, and press conferences targeting passing citizens.
At around 2 p.m. on the same day, 17 teacher and university organizations, including the National Education University Students' Union and the Korean Teachers and Education Workers Union, held a rally near Seoul Station demanding an increase in the number of elementary school teachers and limiting the number of students per class to 20. About 300 prospective and current elementary school teachers participating in the rally stated, "The current educational environment is plagued by overcrowded classes and aging schools," and "To provide better education, the number of students per class must be reduced and education funding expanded." After the rally, they marched toward Samgakji Station.
Cargo workers held a rally demanding the expansion of the Safe Freight Rate System. Around 600 members of the Public Transport Union Cargo Solidarity Headquarters held the '1st Resolution Rally to Urge the Expansion of the Safe Freight Rate System' in front of the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, at around 2 p.m. They stated, "For large cargo trucks, the average working hours are long, and accidents are likely to lead to major incidents," and "The expansion of the Safe Freight Rate System is urgent for road safety." After the rally, they marched to the Democratic Party headquarters and the People Power Party headquarters, urging the passage of the Safe Freight Rate Expansion Bill.

According to the Seoul City Traffic Information System, as of 4 p.m. that day, the vehicle travel speed in downtown was 15.3 km/h, and the average speed across Seoul was 18.9 km/h.
