Suncheon City Conducts 'Visiting Regular Assembly' with Agricultural Technology Center Staff
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] On the 2nd, Suncheon City in Jeollanam-do held its regular September assembly with over 100 employees of the Agricultural Technology Center in the main conference room of the Microbial Eco-friendly Agriculture Education Center (located in Seungju-eup).
This regular assembly was the first 'Visiting Regular Assembly' conducted by the mayor personally visiting the Agricultural Technology Center. It was held as a time to connect, communicate, and encourage employees under the theme "Agriculture, Where Should We Head?"
Mayor Noh Kwan-gyu of Suncheon stated, "At the foundation of Suncheon City's vision and goal of 'Korea's Ecological Capital, First-class Suncheon' lies agriculture. The hosting of the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo, which Suncheon City is focusing on, is a means to become an ecological and garden city," adding, "Agriculture is at the center of this. I ask you to approach your work with wise and integrative thinking in response to changes in the world and scientific technology."
He also emphasized that the mayor's role is to provide administrative direction, and that civil servants are the ones who execute and bring flavor to that direction. He stressed that if young public officials study, build their skills, and perform their duties passionately, the administration will be respected and trusted by citizens.
