On the 2nd, in the Seoul foreign exchange market, the won-dollar exchange rate surged to 1,358.7 won at around 2:34 PM.
On that day, the exchange rate opened at 1,356 won, up 1.1 won from the previous trading day, surpassing the intraday all-time high of 1,355.1 won recorded the day before, and continued to rise.
