[On Site] Lee Jae-myung Who Received a Text Saying "It's War"
On the 1st, Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, received a text message from Kim Hyun-ji, his aide (former secretary at Gyeonggi Provincial Government), during the regular National Assembly opening ceremony held at the National Assembly, stating, "A summons for the member regarding the false statement disclosures about Baekhyeon-dong, false statement disclosures related to the Daejang-dong development, and the claim of not knowing Kim Moon-gi (who was under investigation related to the Daejang-dong suspicion and served as the head of Development Division 1 at Seongnam Urban Development Corporation) has just arrived. This is a war."
On the same day, the prosecution announced that Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who was reported for making false statements related to the 'Baekhyeon-dong preferential treatment suspicion' and others, will be summoned for investigation on the 6th.
In response, Park Seong-jun, spokesperson for the Democratic Party, held a press conference at the National Assembly and said, "The prosecution has notified Leader Lee of the summons for an absurd reason. Despite the confirmation of facts proving the claims of the investigative agency were incorrect, they are carrying out a 'blind summons.'"
Additionally, Spokesperson Park stated, "This is political retaliation against the leader of the main opposition party and political oppression aimed at dismantling the opposition party. The Democratic Party will not back down," and added, "We will strongly fight back against the political retaliation of the Yoon Seok-yeol prosecution republic that damages democracy."
