Lotte Corporation Signs Business Agreement with Yuhan-Kimberly and Lotte Chemical... "Leading Resource Circulation"
Collaboration Among Lotte World Tower Tenants... Waste Recycling
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte World Tower announced on the 1st that it will carry out a resource circulation project that recycles waste through collaboration among tenant companies.
On the same day, Lotte Property & Development signed a business agreement with Yuhan-Kimberly and Lotte Chemical for resource circulation at Lotte World Tower. Yuhan-Kimberly will recycle hand towels used in the restrooms of Lotte World Tower. Previously, waste hand towels were treated as general waste, but now they will be separately collected and used for hand towel reproduction. A pilot operation will begin in the tower office area (14th to 38th floors) and gradually expand to the entire complex. Lotte Chemical will recycle waste plastics generated from Lotte World Tower and Mall to produce eco-friendly products. Lotte Property & Development will actively support smooth waste separation and collection.
Meanwhile, as of last year, Lotte World Tower is an eco-friendly building that replaces about 12% of its total energy consumption with renewable energy. It is equipped with various renewable energy facilities including the largest-scale water thermal energy facility in Korea, as well as geothermal, solar, and wind energy systems.
