This event was organized as part of the ‘Korea Companion Angel Corps’ campaign led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, aiming to realize a happy Korea where everyone lives well together under the values of coexistence and sharing. The relay campaign is an event where the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and small business organizations practice coexistence and sharing for vulnerable and marginalized groups, running until the end of the year starting from the ‘7-day Companion Festival’.
On the day, Seok Yongchan, president of the MainBiz Association, who took the lead as the first volunteer for free meal distribution, along with executives and staff, personally distributed about 400 lunchboxes and delivered a donation of 2 million KRW to the Cheonsa Free Meal Service. President Seok said, “Our association is very honored to participate in the ‘Korea Companion Angel Corps’ campaign,” adding, “We feel rewarded to be able to serve a warm meal with the association and its executives and staff ahead of Chuseok.” He continued, “To ensure this activity does not end as a one-time event, our association will lead the practice of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management through volunteer activities with member companies and executives and staff.”
The MainBiz Association plans to hold the second free meal distribution volunteer activity and donation ceremony in Paju City on the 7th. The free meal distribution volunteer activities and donation ceremonies organized by the MainBiz Association will be held a total of 32 times over about four months from September to December this year, with businesspeople participating nationwide centered on MainBiz Association branches.
