Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Adds 5 New Types of Public Data for Open Access
Easier Access to Detailed Information for Citizens and Businesses
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced on the 31st that it has newly opened 5 public data sets this year.
Public data refers to all types of data processed, created, and acquired electronically by public institutions.
Through data opening, citizens and companies can download data in file format or develop related apps, among other diverse uses.
YGPA has additionally opened a total of 5 public data sets, including two types of raw data on vehicle movement in the eastern and western hinterlands of Gwangyang Port in the 'Shipping·Port - Transportation·Logistics' sector, and three types of raw data from the Yeosu Port air information measurement station to support solving social issues such as port air environment analysis, enabling citizens and companies to more easily obtain detailed information.
A YGPA official stated, "Including the newly opened data this time, we provide 53 public data sets through the Public Data Portal (data.go.kr). We will continue to discover and open highly useful public data."
