Seongnam City Advances 2 Million KRW Disaster Relief Fund for Households Affected by Housing Flood Damage
[Asia Economy (Seongnam) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province will provide an advance payment of 2 million won in disaster relief funds to households affected by flooding due to heavy rain.
The number of households with flooded homes currently identified by Seongnam City is 719.
The city will invest 1.5 billion won in contingency funds to support these households.
The disaster relief funds will be paid sequentially from the 1st of next month to those who apply.
Seongnam experienced record-breaking heavy rainfall with a cumulative precipitation of 470mm from the 8th to the 10th.
As a result, there were a total of 1,485 damages, including 766 public facility cases and 719 private facility (house flooding) cases, and 1,116 disaster victims.
