Hyundai Glovis Distributes 5,000 Copies of Logistics Site Safety Inspection Manual Free of Charge
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Hyundai Glovis announced on the 29th that it has delivered 5,000 copies of on-site safety inspection manuals and 5,000 portable fire extinguishers to small and medium-sized logistics companies. These were provided free of charge to small businesses with fewer than 50 employees, which find it difficult to establish their own safety management systems.
To make it more convenient to view the manuals at work sites, an e-book version was also produced. Safety managers can easily use the manuals on smartphones or tablet PCs. The manuals reflect the characteristics of the logistics industry, where a large volume of cargo is handled. They include precautions when operating specialized equipment used in logistics sites, such as forklifts.
The content focuses on safety inspections and response measures to prevent fires at logistics centers. Since various equipment is densely concentrated, a fire could cause significant damage. Following the delivery of 500 manuals earlier this year, the quantity was increased about tenfold this time. The aim is to create a safe working environment throughout the logistics industry.
