Hong Yugil, CEO of Pungsan Powertech, Donates 5 Million Won to Neighbors in Yeonggwang Care Program
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Hong Yugil, CEO of Pungsan Powertech Co., Ltd., donated 5 million KRW to the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Park Cheolhong) to support neighbors in need in Yeonggwang County.
The donation ceremony held on the 23rd was attended by Kang Jongman, Governor of Yeonggwang County, Hong Yugil, CEO of Pungsan Powertech Co., Ltd., and Kim Jingon, Secretary General of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea.
The donated funds will be used to support neighbors in need in Yeonggwang County who are experiencing difficulties due to COVID-19.
CEO Hong Yugil said, “I am pleased to donate to neighbors in need in Yeonggwang County, and I hope the funds will be delivered well to those in difficulty. I will continue to strive to spread the joy of sharing as an Honor Society member of the Gwangju Community Chest of Korea.”

Meanwhile, CEO Hong Yugil joined the Gwangju Honor Society as member No. 116 in December 2020 and has been working to promote a culture of sharing.

The Honor Society is a group of high-value individual donors of the Community Chest of Korea, aiming to solve local social issues and foster a mature donation culture to promote the development of the social community. Members qualify by pledging a lump sum or full payment within five years of 100 million KRW or more, practicing noblesse oblige. In Gwangju, 141 members have joined, leading the culture of sharing in the Gwangju area.
