On the 25th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank donated "100 million KRW worth of Changwon Love Gift Certificates" to Changwon Special City.
At the "Changwon Love Gift Certificate Donation Ceremony" held at Changwon City Hall that day, BNK Financial Group Chairman Kim Ji-wan, BNK Gyeongnam Bank President Choi Hong-young, and Changwon Special City Mayor Hong Nam-pyo attended.
The 100 million KRW worth of Changwon Love Gift Certificates donated by BNK Gyeongnam Bank will be distributed to 1,000 socially marginalized households in the Changwon area experiencing economic difficulties through the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea.
In particular, supporting the local currency, Changwon Love Gift Certificates, aims to help the socially marginalized in the region have a good Chuseok holiday, which is about two weeks away, while also increasing sales revenue for traditional market merchants.
President Choi said, "I believe embracing neighbors in need and small business owners going through difficult times is the first step toward a happy journey together. Through the donation of Changwon Love Gift Certificates, I hope a message of hope and the will to overcome COVID-19 will be well conveyed to the local community. Furthermore, we plan to spare no support to help Changwon Special City stand tall as a Northeast Asia hub city."
He added, "The 100 million KRW worth of Changwon Love Gift Certificates was specially prepared considering the difficult times. Last month, we delivered fans and summer blankets to Changwon Special City to support 2,000 vulnerable households. In September, when Chuseok takes place, we also plan to prepare Changwon Love Gift Certificates and deliver them to the socially marginalized in the region."
Mayor Hong responded, "BNK Gyeongnam Bank, as a representative regional financial institution, contributes to the economic revitalization of local residents and businesses, and we are always grateful and reassured as it supports vulnerable groups through various social contribution activities. We will ensure that the Changwon Love Gift Certificates donated this time reach hidden families in crisis with BNK Gyeongnam Bank’s warm heart."
