Providing Strategies to Catch Two Rabbits: Employment and University Admission in Vocational High Schools
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 24th that it will hold an online special lecture on the 27th for students, parents, and teachers interested in special admissions for vocational high school students.
With the rapid changes in industry and advancements in technology, there is an increasing trend of vocational high school students wishing to pursue in-depth university studies linked to their major fields. This has heightened the need to support the construction of student growth pathways. This special lecture was organized to provide accurate information and systematic preparation strategies for early employment followed by further study and admission to related fields.
The online special lecture will appoint a professional instructor who has directly experienced early employment followed by further study through the 'Special Admissions for Employed Persons' among special admissions after graduating from specialized high schools and Meister high schools, and who has conducted mentoring for years in the relevant field's online community. The lecture will provide information that students (including graduates) and parents are curious about.
The lecture content is designed to specifically assist students and parents preparing for special university admissions from specialized high schools, based on the characteristics of special admissions by university, analysis of last year's results, and application trends. It will cover △ practical know-how for preparing for the special admissions for employed persons, including self-introduction letters, interviews, and document preparation △ advantages and benefits of special university admissions and early employment followed by further study for specialized and Meister high school students.
Those wishing to participate in the online special lecture can pre-register by filling out a survey by the 25th and submit questions in advance. Additionally, participation is possible on the day of the event via YouTube without prior registration.
