[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] The Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) announced on the 24th that it is recruiting new students (14th class) to participate in the ‘2023 Intellectual Property-based Next-Generation Gifted Entrepreneur Education Program’ in collaboration with KAIST and POSTECH.
The recruitment target is middle school students or youth aged 13 to 15 with creative invention capabilities, selecting a total of about 160 students.
Applications can be submitted from the 31st of this month to the 30th of next month through the KAIST Intellectual Property Gifted Entrepreneur Education Center website or the POSTECH Gifted Entrepreneur Education Center website. Each institution will recruit about 80 students.
The selection process consists of a first-round document screening and a second-round interview. Among the selected students, 5% will be admitted through a social integration track to encourage participation in invention gifted education for underprivileged groups.
Selected students will receive a two-year program including creative convergence education and customized comprehensive counseling for career exploration in areas such as intellectual property, entrepreneurship, future technologies, humanities, and communication skills.
After completing the program, graduates will continue to receive education and infrastructure to grow as future entrepreneurs, including specialized courses for graduates and participation in the graduate network (ACCEL).
