"Chuseok Gifts! Prepare Smartly", Gyeongbuk 6th Industry 'Antenna Shop'
‘8 Antenna Shops’ Chuseok Special Sale Event Held
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwiyeol] Gyeongbuk Province will hold a special Chuseok sale event for rural convergence (6th) industry products at 8 ‘Antenna Shops’ from August 25 to September 10 ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
An Antenna Shop is a strategic store operated to understand consumer preferences and responses to products, and to research product development or sales promotion plans. There are 8 locations within the province, including Daebaek Plaza Branch, E-Mart (Gyeongsan, Gumi, Wolbae, Pohang), Shinsegae Department Store Daegu Branch, Lotte Department Store Yeongdeungpo Branch, and Lotte Premium Food Market Giheung Branch.
This event was prepared to provide consumers, who are struggling due to the recent prolonged high inflation, with an opportunity to purchase excellent local agricultural and specialty products at affordable prices, thereby reducing the burden of grocery prices and enabling a more abundant Chuseok.
Various 6th industry products such as traditional sauces, honey, ginseng, mushrooms, and teas will be sold at this special sale event.
Also, customers who purchase more than 100,000 KRW worth of Antenna Shop products will receive 5% of the purchase amount in gift certificates, and various benefits and events such as 2+1, 5+1, and 10+1 giveaways will be held for customers purchasing event products.
Antenna Shops help strengthen competitiveness by utilizing consumer responses and tendencies through promotion, exhibition, and sales of 6th industry products using local agricultural specialties, which can be used for product improvement and market entry feasibility analysis.
Gyeongbuk’s 6th industry Antenna Shops recorded sales of 2.39 billion KRW last year, a 90% increase compared to 1.26 billion KRW in 2016.
Sales have been increasing slightly every year, contributing to securing sales channels and improving sales for local 6th industry businesses.
As part of win-win cooperation with local large corporations, the Samsung Electronics Gumi Plant online direct transaction market for the holiday season, which has been held since 2015, will open a dedicated mall on the Gyeongbuk agricultural specialty product shopping mall ‘Saiseo’ from the 25th to the 31st of this month for 7 days to sell various 6th industry products.
