[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] 'Cheonnyeondamju' from Damyang-based Jukhyangdoga Co., Ltd. (CEO Jang Yujeong) won the grand prize in the Yakju and Cheongju category at the Namdo Traditional Liquor Competition.
The Namdo Traditional Liquor Competition is a liquor contest that selects and awards excellent products to enhance the status and competitiveness of Namdo traditional liquors.
The competition is divided into five categories: Takju, Yakju and Cheongju, fruit wine, distilled liquor, and other liquors. Winners are determined through document evaluation including the ratio of domestic agricultural products used and liquor quality certification achievements, as well as comprehensive expert sensory evaluations of taste, aroma, color, and aftertaste.
Cheonnyeondamju from Jukhyangdoga, a premium yakju made with organic rice and honey from Damyang, previously won the grand prize at the 2020 Korea Our Liquor Competition and was honored again with the grand prize in the Yakju and Cheongju category at the 2022 Traditional Liquor Competition.
Jeollanam-do plans to support the award-winning products from this competition through online promotions, exhibitions at the Traditional Liquor Gallery, buyer invitation consultations, and recommendations for toasts and banquets at various events.
