Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority Promotes Redevelopment of Gwangyang Port Marine Park
Since Its Establishment, Gwangyang Port Has Become a Famous Spot for Movie Filming Locations and Rest Areas
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced on the 23rd that it will undertake the redevelopment of the Marine Park located next to Jungma General Pier in Gwangyang Port.
This initiative is a follow-up measure to the CEO-led on-site port inspection conducted earlier this month.
Gwangyang Port Marine Park serves as a port waterfront facility for local residents. Since its establishment in 2008, it has become a landmark of Gwangyang Port, known as a filming location and a resting area, continuously loved by the local community.
President Park Seong-hyun emphasized customer-centered management and safety-first management as key priorities during the pier and site inspections earlier this month.
During the inspection of the Marine Park site, President Park instructed the repair of damaged facilities within the park to ensure the safety of its users and eliminate potential hazards.
A YGPA official stated, “Through continuous on-site inspections and pier management, we will strive to enhance the safety management of Gwangyang Port,” adding, “We will make efforts to realize an eco-friendly and safe port in harmony with local residents through this Marine Park redevelopment.”
