Golfzon County Ora Donates 350 Boxes of Daily Necessities to Jeju Community
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Chang-won] Golfzon County Ora and Golfzon Cultural Foundation announced on the 23rd that they visited Ora-dong Office, Yeon-dong Office, and Ara-dong Office in Jeju City on the 22nd, donating 350 boxes of daily necessities kits worth about 15 million won to be used for the underprivileged.
At the donation ceremony held at Ora-dong Office, local officials including Provincial Assembly Member Lee Seung-ah, Ora-dong Mayor Oh Soo-won, Golfzon Cultural Foundation Secretary-General Kim Yoon-gil, and Golfzon County Jeju Business Department Head Kim Woo-shin attended.
The donated items consisted of daily necessities kits including ready-to-eat meals and instant cooking foods that elderly living alone and those with mobility difficulties can easily prepare. The items were purchased and assembled at marts in the Jeju area.
Kim Yoon-gil, Secretary-General of Golfzon Cultural Foundation, said, “We are pleased to be able to offer some help to the underprivileged in the Jeju area during these difficult times of renewed COVID-19 spread and economic downturn. We will continue to expand various sharing events and scholarship projects for the Jeju community.”
Provincial Assembly Member Lee Seung-ah responded, “We deeply appreciate the annual donations and sharing events by Golfzon Cultural Foundation and Golfzon County Ora for local residents, and we ask for continued interest and support.”
Meanwhile, Golfzon County Ora and Golfzon Cultural Foundation have been continuously conducting community service and sharing events as well as supporting Jeju golf hopefuls every year. Last July, they also provided scholarships totaling 40 million won to Jeju golf hopefuls.
