Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Online Korean Language Training for Zainichi Korean Youth
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (President Park Jung-woon) announced on the 23rd that it conducted the ‘2022 Online Korean Language Training Course for Zainichi Korean Youth (Elementary School)’ organized by the university and hosted by the Overseas Koreans Foundation. The training was held online for a total of three weeks from the opening ceremony on July 29 until the 19th of this month.

This Korean language training was attended by 102 Zainichi Korean youths aged 10 to 14 who aimed to learn about the history and culture of the Republic of Korea. They studied Korean language skills as well as gained an understanding of their motherland Korea through daily three-hour classes over three weeks, including level-based Korean lessons, special lectures on Korean history and culture, real-time cultural experience practices, and project programs.
