22nd Nojak Literary Award Poet Jo Jeong 'Gurashijera'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seomideum] Poet Jo Jeong (66)'s 'Geurasijaera' (Isonomia) has been selected as the winning work of the 22nd Nojak Literary Award. The prize money is 30 million won, and the winning work will be published in the autumn issue of the quarterly literary magazine 'Baekjo'.
Judges including poet Jeong Heeseong praised it, saying, "It beautifully showcases the charm of the southwestern Jeolla dialect."
The Nojak Literary Award was established in 2001 to honor the spirit of Nojak Hong Sayong, who led the romantic poetry movement under Japanese colonial rule.

Jo Jeong debuted through the 2000 Hankook Ilbo New Year's Literary Contest and has published poetry collections such as 'Like a Barbershop Picture' and a full-length fairy tale 'You, Me, and Peace'.
