Dr. Song Buyong Appointed as the 16th Director of Gyeongnam Research Institute
Personnel Appointments of Heads of Invested and Affiliated Institutions in Governor Park Wansu's First Administration
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Dr. Song Buyong, who served as the Director of Research Planning at the Gyeongnam Research Institute, has been nominated as the 16th Director of the Gyeongnam Research Institute in the first appointment of heads of investment and foundation institutions by Governor Park Wansu of Gyeongnam.
Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 21st that on the 19th, the Gyeongnam Research Institute Board of Directors recommended Dr. Song as the sole candidate for director and selected him as the nominee.
Dr. Song previously served as the Head of the Industrial Economy Research Office and Director of Research Planning at the Gyeongnam Research Institute, formerly the Gyeongnam Development Research Institute; Special Economic Advisor to Gyeongsangnam-do; Head of the Technology Innovation Support Group at Gyeongnam Technopark; President of the Korean Regional Economic Association; Acting Director of the Gyeongnam Research Institute; and Director of Research Planning.
During Governor-elect Park Wansu’s transition team period, Dr. Song served as a member of the Industrial Economy division.
