Geochang-gun Holds Report Meeting on Implementation Plan for Promises of the 8th Elected Administration

A meeting is being held to report on the implementation plan for the 8th term elected mayor's campaign promises.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] On the 19th, Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held a detailed implementation plan briefing session for the 8th term elected mayor's pledge projects at the county office's large conference room, presided over by County Governor Gu In-mo. About 60 people attended, including the deputy governor, department heads, heads of affiliated institutions and business offices, and eup/myeon chiefs.
The 8th term elected mayor's pledges consist of a total of 57 projects across six fields: ▲ Education, Youth, and Population (8 projects) ▲ Agriculture and Rural Areas (7 projects) ▲ Elevators, Economy, and Anti-aging (9 projects) ▲ Culture, Tourism, and Sports (13 projects) ▲ Health and Welfare (10 projects) ▲ Living, Safety, and Environment (10 projects).
At the briefing session, in-depth discussions were held on issues and improvement measures regarding key pledges such as entering the era of a 1 trillion won budget, Geochang-type youth and adolescent allowances, establishment of Geochang-type medical welfare town, construction of park golf courses in all eup and myeon, creation of an anti-aging healing and wellness complex, development of mountain trekking courses (Gamaksan Barrier-Free Sharing Trail), opening of the Gabuk-Haeinsa connecting road, free use of rural bus fares (for those aged 70 and above, etc.), Dongsan Village environmental improvement project, establishment of a Korean medicine green agriculture university, and construction of a crematorium.
Based on the issues and supplementary measures derived on this day, the county plans to finalize and manage the pledge projects within this month.
Governor Gu said, “The 8th term elected mayor's pledge projects are core projects to achieve a greater leap for Geochang-gun following the 7th term. In particular, please do your best to carry them out faithfully to fulfill promises made to the residents.”

Meanwhile, Governor Gu In-mo's 7th term elected mayor's pledge projects achieved a 96.6% implementation rate by completing 49 out of 56 projects, raising expectations for a high implementation rate for the 8th term pledge projects as well.
