Former Aide's Revelation... Lee Jun-seok: "Unbearable Story, Will Hold Responsible"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Former People Power Party leader Lee Jun-seok stated that a former aide who made allegations against him is "speaking beyond what can be handled" and said, "I will hold them accountable altogether."
On the 21st, Lee shared an article containing allegations from former aide Lim Se-young on his Facebook, saying, "This person worked with me for about a month when I first ran for election six years ago and has been spreading many stories here and there."
Kang Shin-up, the legal representative of Kim Sung-jin, CEO of iKist, who is under police investigation on suspicion of providing sexual favors to Lee, shared a post from the fan club of First Lady Kim Kun-hee called 'Geonhee Sarang' on his Facebook that morning. The author of the post claimed to be Lim’s testimony, stating, "Recently, after seeing Lee’s behavior, his parents came to him, pleading tearfully to restrain himself, but he did not listen." It has not been confirmed whether Lim actually made such a statement.
Lee explained, "I have had no contact with this person for six years since then. Moreover, my parents do not interact separately with local party members except when they come to help during election periods to avoid misunderstandings," adding, "And my parents never discuss my political activities with me. Naturally, there is no reason for them to come and say such things."
Lee also revealed on Facebook a text message Lim sent in March, saying, "I don’t know the situation, but I will respond thoroughly."
