Reggae-Style Hip-Hop Song Expresses the Pain of Heartbreak Ironically
Singer Lim Young-woong's music video for "A bientot" has surpassed 6 million views on YouTube. Released on May 2nd, the video accumulated 6,021,735 views by noon on the 19th. "A bientot" is a reggae-style hip-hop track included in Lim Young-woong's first full-length album, "IM HERO." The song was written, composed, and arranged by Gong, who has worked as a producer for Dynamic Duo and DJ DOC. "A bientot" means "See you again" in French. Lim Young-woong ironically expresses the pain of heartbreak in the lyrics, such as "After cutting out half of my heart, I was able to be freed from the prison called you." Since May, Lim Young-woong has successfully completed the nationwide "IM HERO" tour held over four months and is preparing additional performances. In December, he will hold encore concerts for "IM HERO" at BEXCO in Busan and Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.
