5 Additional Confirmed Cases Among Seoul Heavy Rain Disaster Victims...Total 16 Cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Five additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed among disaster victims affected by the heavy rain in the central region.
According to Seoul City on the 16th, five more disaster victims from the heavy rain were confirmed positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 16. Among the new cases, four were from Dongjak-gu and one from Gwanak-gu.
Accordingly, the cumulative confirmed cases by region have been tallied as follows: 8 in Dongjak-gu, 4 in Gwanak-gu, 2 in Gangnam-gu, and 1 in Guro-gu. Of the confirmed cases, five are hospitalized, and eleven are receiving home treatment.
Meanwhile, the total number of new confirmed cases in Seoul on the 15th was 13,060, an increase of 4,814 from the previous day, but a decrease of 16,421 compared to a week ago.

Six additional deaths were reported, bringing the cumulative death toll to 5,088. The number of patients receiving home treatment decreased by 10,923 to 102,782.
