[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Isul] The film "Hansan: Rising Dragon," depicting Admiral Yi Sun-sin's Battle of Hansan, surpassed 6 million viewers on August 15, Liberation Day.
According to the Korea Film Council's integrated box office data on the 15th, "Hansan: Rising Dragon" (directed by Kim Han-min) recorded a cumulative audience of 6,000,807. The film, released on July 27, surpassed its break-even point on its 20th day, which is ten days faster than the 30 days it took for the 10 million viewer film "Aladdin."
On this day, director Kim Han-min and actors Park Hae-il, Byun Yo-han, and Son Hyun-joo expressed their gratitude, saying, "The love from the audience for 'Hansan: Rising Dragon' is truly a great mountain," and added, "We sincerely thank and love you."
