TYM Announces Tractor Support Project for Young Farmers... Total of 16 Units Donated Free of Charge
[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Min-jae] Agricultural machinery company TYM announced on the 12th that it will hold a contest for the ‘2022 Tractor Support Project for Young Returning Farmers’ until the 30th of next month.
The recruitment target is young returning farmers in their 20s to 40s, divided into priority levels 1 to 3 based on age, farmland ownership and marital status, household composition, gender, farm type, and crop cultivation type. The younger the age and the higher the proportion of leased farmland among married applicants, the higher the priority recommendation. A total of 16 tractors will be supported, with 2 units allocated per province in Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Chungnam, Chungbuk, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, Gyeongnam, and Gyeongbuk (excluding Jeju). The supported models are TYM’s 40 to 50 horsepower tractors (non-cabin type) TE48 and TE58 models.
Young farmers who wish to participate can apply by email to the returning farming and rural departments of each city and county or to the TYM representative. The announcement can be found on TYM’s official website, Instagram, and the bulletin boards of the returning farming and rural departments of agricultural technology centers in each city and county. Winners will be individually notified on October 21.
