‘Safety’ Upgrade at Ulsan Sports Complex … Transformed with Safety Design for National Sports Festival
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan Sports Complex has been transformed into a 'safe stadium' ahead of the National Sports Festival to be held on October 7.
Ulsan City announced on the 12th that it applied safety design to the Ulsan Sports Complex, where the opening and closing ceremonies of the National Sports Festival will be held, so that spectators can quickly find evacuation routes and escape in case of emergencies.
The applied design includes pictograms and color-coded directional markings on the walls of the spectator entrance areas, allowing visitors to visually recognize the entrances intuitively from any space within the stadium.
Additionally, guiding lines and freestanding signboards were installed on the floors and stairs along evacuation routes to enable the fastest possible evacuation from the spectators' current locations.
Fire extinguisher boxes were installed near the entrances, and guiding lines were placed to make emergency exits easy to find, enabling prompt initial response in case of fire.
