Samsung Provides 3 Billion Won Support for Recovery from Heavy Rain Damage
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Samsung announced on the 11th that it will donate 3 billion KRW in donations to help restore areas affected by the heavy rains in central regions such as Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon. The donations will be delivered through the National Disaster Relief Association.
Eight Samsung affiliates participated in the donation, including Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung SDS, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, and Samsung C&T.
In addition to the donations, Samsung plans to provide 5,000 emergency relief kits containing bottled water, blankets, spare clothes, and towels to residents in the affected areas. They will also visit the sites to offer free inspection services for water-damaged electronic products.

In March, Samsung donated 3 billion KRW and disaster relief kits to help recover from the wildfires in Uljin and Samcheok, and in 2020, it donated 3 billion KRW and relief kits to restore areas damaged by heavy rains.
