On this day, the meeting began in Seongbuk-dong, his electoral district, along with Naju City Council members Kim Jeong-suk and Kim Gwan-yong, visiting eight towns, townships, and neighborhoods to develop policies through collecting residents' opinions and visiting local livelihood sites.
The meeting listened to proposals on local issues such as revitalization plans for Daehodong Waterfront Park, improvement construction for lighting to create safe passageways for citizens, and the creation of a trail around Hambak Mountain, seeking ways to promote regional development.
Additionally, through on-site visits, they heard about various inconveniences in residents' lives, including remodeling of aging village halls and demolition of abandoned houses that harm the local landscape and threaten safety.
In particular, the on-site meeting with Naju Oil Market merchants gathered opinions on constructing a parking tower to solve traditional market parking difficulties, expanding bus routes for transportation convenience, and adjusting bus stops, discussing alternatives.
Assembly member Kim Ho-jin stated, “This ‘Minsheng Hyeondap Communication Meeting’ was a meaningful occasion to directly listen to residents' difficulties and local issues on-site and share diverse opinions.”
