[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyung-pil] On the 10th, Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it conducted a public hygiene service evaluation targeting accommodation businesses, bathhouses, and laundries within the jurisdiction and disclosed the results on the county website.
The public hygiene service evaluation is conducted every two years by industry to improve the hygiene management level and the quality of services of public hygiene establishments.
This year, the evaluation was conducted on a total of 160 establishments, including accommodation businesses, bathhouses, and laundries that completed business registration as of December 31 of last year.
The evaluation was detailed by industry, assessing compliance with hygiene management requirements and recommendations by business operators, as well as hygiene conditions, and converted into a score out of 100 points.
Results were graded as follows: 90 points or above received a Green Grade (Excellent), 80 to 89 points a Yellow Grade (Good), and below 80 points a White Grade (General). Ultimately, 19 establishments were selected as Green Grade (Excellent).
In the future, excellent establishments will be provided with an excellent establishment sign to encourage voluntary hygiene management by business operators, and establishments with insufficient scores will be guided to improve hygiene levels through continuous on-site supervision.
A county official stated, “We will continue to raise the hygiene standards of public hygiene establishments and promote service improvement through the public hygiene service evaluation.”
Meanwhile, the evaluation results can be checked on the county website under Life Welfare (Hygiene Environment).
