According to the Statistics Korea National Statistical Portal (KOSIS), the food and non-alcoholic beverage price index in July was 113.12 (2020=100), an 8.0% increase compared to a year ago. Food prices rose the most in one year and five months since February last year. In particular, prices of processed foods such as edible oils (34.7%) and fresh foods such as vegetables and seaweed (24.4%) increased significantly.
