Q2 Earnings Conference Call Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] LG Uplus emphasized on the 5th during its Q2 earnings conference call that it will drive continuous profit growth through customer experience innovation in line with new device launch events in the second half of this year.
Lee Hyuk-joo, LG Uplus Chief Financial Officer (CFO) (Vice President), stated, "In the second half, with the release of flagship devices leading to increased device sales and penetration rates, we will achieve continuous profit growth through customer experience innovation, pain point improvements, and efforts to reduce churn rates."
He added, "While strengthening new features and originals for Kids Family and Idol Sports services, where we have strengths, we will create a structure that allows customers to feel convenience and value during the process of experiencing products and services based on data and artificial intelligence (AI)."
He continued, "Based on the customer experience accumulated so far, we will continue innovation and strengthen non-telecom capabilities based on core technologies to create opportunities to communicate more concretely with the market about our mid- to long-term strategies," adding, "We will strive to provide customers with differentiated and outstanding services."

He also mentioned efforts to enhance dividends. CFO Lee Hyuk-joo said, "To increase shareholder value, we decided on an interim dividend of 250 KRW per share, a 25% increase compared to last year," and added, "We will continue to work to improve dividend predictability for shareholders and meet market expectations."
