New President Park Jong-seok graduated from the Department of Economics at Seoul National University and earned a master's degree in economics from Seoul National University Graduate School. After joining the Bank of Korea in 1992, he worked in the Financial Markets Department, Policy Planning Department, and Monetary Policy Department, serving as Director of the Monetary Policy Department and Deputy Governor.
