Martial Arts, Supporting Entry into the U.S. Government Procurement Market Using U.S. Forces Korea Bases
Opening of the 'Trade Korea Premium Products Hall' at Pyeongtaek Camp Humphreys
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] The Korea International Trade Association announced on the 2nd that it has opened the ‘tradeKorea Excellent Products Pavilion’ within Camp Humphreys, a U.S. military base located in Pyeongtaek.
The products on display include office and cleaning supplies, industrial equipment, tools, and vehicle consumables, with participation from 22 small and medium-sized enterprises. The association supported the participating companies by issuing the internationally recognized business identifier, the DUNS Number, and assisting with registration in the U.S. Federal Procurement System, SAM. Additionally, it helped the companies become official vendors for U.S. government procurement, enabling B2B transactions not only with the U.S. military but also with government administrative agencies, hospitals, and schools within the military.
When the U.S. military purchases products from the pavilion, the companies can have these recognized as official U.S. government supply achievements. This recognition can also be used as direct export performance, which can be leveraged when applying for trade finance and export policy funds.
