A man in his 50s who stabbed a woman to death on the street takes extreme measures at home
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Se-ryeong] On the 3rd, a man in his 50s who stabbed a woman in her 50s to death with a weapon in Geoje-si, Gyeongnam, took his own life.
According to the Geoje Police Station Criminal Division, at around 4:30 a.m. that day, a man A and a woman B had a serious argument on the street in front of an apartment in Gohyeon-dong, Geoje-si, Gyeongnam.
During the physical altercation, Mr. A swung a prepared weapon several times toward Ms. B, and after she collapsed, he fled the scene.
The police responded to a report from a resident who found Ms. B stabbed and collapsed. Ms. B was taken to the hospital but passed away.
The police identified the suspect through reviewing nearby CCTV footage and conducting inquiries, and tracked Mr. A’s location in real time via his mobile phone. However, Mr. A was found dead at his home at around 8:50 a.m. that day.
Police investigations revealed that the two had been in contact for a considerable period.
The police stated that they plan to conduct an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death and investigate the relationship between the two, the circumstances of the incident, and the motive for the crime by questioning acquaintances and bereaved families.
