According to the Mokpo Coast Guard Station on the 2nd, at around 8:16 PM on the 1st, A (teenage male) who was fishing with his family near Byeolam-ri, Haenam-gun, showed symptoms of high fever and chills. A report was made that hospital transfer was necessary, and the coastal patrol boat from the police substation was dispatched immediately.
Arriving quickly at the scene, the Coast Guard strictly followed COVID-19 prevention guidelines while boarding A and his guardian onto the coastal patrol boat. Upon arrival at the police substation dock in the jurisdiction, they handed over the patient to the waiting 119 emergency medical team.
After taking antipyretics and fortunately recovering to a normal body temperature, A was transferred to a hospital in Mokpo for treatment.
