T'way Air Employees Return, Boosting Safety Awareness by Watching 'Emergency Declaration' Together
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] T'way Air announced on the 2nd that it celebrated the return of all employees to work this month by watching a movie together, joining forces to raise safety awareness and prepare for the normalization of air routes.
With the aviation industry crisis that began simultaneously with the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, T'way Air employees underwent leave of absence and reduced working hours for a period of two years and five months.
Although the recovery of international flights remains slow compared to pre-pandemic levels, T'way Air made the decision to have all employees return to work, sharing the difficulties faced by its staff and preparing for the future.
T'way Air explained, "This year, as flight operations expanded, the leave rate gradually decreased," adding, "In line with the recovery trend of the aviation industry, we took proactive measures such as being the first domestic airline to promote the return of all employees, aiming to thoroughly ensure safe operations and fully prepare to capture the market."
On the first day of the full employee return, T'way Air held a group viewing of the movie Emergency Declaration to boost morale and raise safety awareness among employees working in various fields to ensure normal flight operations. The aviation disaster film Emergency Declaration, which opens on the 3rd, received extensive consultation support from T'way Air in areas such as flight operations, cabin service, and control during its production.
Despite difficulties during the pandemic, T'way Air has made various preparations for the future. It established an Aviation Training Center in 2020 to continue investing in safety. This year, it introduced three large aircraft A330-300s and expanded its business by launching new routes to Singapore and Mongolia, accelerating the normalization of air routes.
