Floor leader Kwon stated this during the People Power Party members' general meeting held in the National Assembly main building in the afternoon, saying, "Before today's general meeting, I held relay meetings with first-term, second-term, and senior lawmakers with three or more terms."
He continued, "The party is facing an emergency situation," emphasizing, "Extraordinary measures are necessary to overcome this."
Floor leader Kwon also said, "Over the past weekend, resignations of Supreme Council members continued. Among the nine Supreme Council members with voting rights, five expressed their intention to resign. The party leader is in a state of accident," adding, "There is a majority opinion that normal party deliberation and resolution to overcome the crisis is inevitable."
