Sacheon Coast Guard stated that around 11 a.m. that day, they received a report from a daughter saying, "My father injured his waist and cannot move," and dispatched the Namhae Police Station coastal rescue boat.
According to Sacheon Coast Guard, Mr. A went sightseeing on a four-person monorail in Hodo that morning with his spouse, daughter, and son-in-law.
While returning from the sightseeing, the monorail suddenly stopped moving, and Mr. A tried to get off the monorail to walk to the boarding station about 10 meters away but slipped and severely injured his waist.
The Coast Guard provided first aid and moved Mr. A using a stretcher for patients, then deployed the coastal rescue boat and the ferry Jodoh to arrive at Mijo Port around 11:52 a.m.
At that time, the sea was experiencing south winds of 8 to 10 m/s and waves of 1.5 to 2 meters due to the influence of a typhoon.
