Hankom Lifecare Acquires Industrial and Safety Specialist Company 'Ubimicro'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Safety equipment company Hancom Lifecare announced on the 1st that it has acquired UbiMicro, a specialized company in integrated management systems for the industrial and safety sectors. UbiMicro will make a fresh start under the name ‘Hancom UbiMicro.’
Founded in 2012, Hancom UbiMicro is a specialized company providing industrial and safety integrated management systems, offering wireless communication convergence gas sensor devices, mobile on-site gas environment monitoring equipment, and wireless communication equipment specialized for industrial facilities and environments to sectors such as chemical, shipbuilding, power plants, and defense.
In particular, its self-developed gas sensor device is the industry’s only communication module integrated device, and the IoT-based portable multi-gas detector ‘UEPL-100’ has demonstrated high-level technology, winning the grand prize at the ‘26th Protective Equipment and Safety Gear Quality Awards Review.’
Through this acquisition, Hancom Lifecare aims to strengthen its safety equipment development capabilities in the gas detection sector and build a value chain in the firefighting safety platform field by developing ▲chemical accident response information environment collection equipment systems and ▲multi-environment sensors for on-site firefighting team response. Additionally, it plans to secure a leading position in the rapidly growing industrial and safety integrated management system market, driven by the recent enforcement of the Serious Accident Punishment Act.
