Four Startups Nurtured by SKT Selected for Ministry of Science and ICT Project

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-seon] Startups nurtured by SK Telecom are achieving success in various contests and support projects hosted by the government and public enterprises.
SK Telecom announced on the 1st that four startups it supports were selected in the recent "Public-Private Cooperation-Based Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Startup Nurturing Project" hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT. The selected companies are MediIPlus (bio-venture clinical data collection and processing service), Kernelog (solar panel efficiency solution), Nubilab (AI-based food waste minimization solution), and A-Sleep (AI-based sleep guide service).
Startups nurtured by large corporations and public enterprises participated in this "Public-Private Cooperation-Based ICT Startup Nurturing Project." A total of 10 teams were finally selected. The selected companies receive technology development funds from the government and customized startup programs from the private sector, including technology and commercialization mentoring, startup spaces, investment attraction, market development, and testbeds.
There are also ongoing cases of selection in support projects hosted by government and public institutions. 'LabSD' signed an agreement for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Big 3 support project this year and was selected for the K-Startup program. 'DeepVisions' was selected as a strong small business by the Ministry of Employment and Labor in 2022. 'Promedius' was chosen for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' overseas demonstration PoC support program in 2022.

SKT also launched 'ESG Korea' last year to nurture ESG startups. Currently, 21 participating companies in the 'ESG Korea Alliance' provide various customized mentoring from business planning to management infrastructure.
