[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] Samsung Electronics announced that it aims to start operations of the new line at the Pyeongtaek semiconductor plant in 2023 and the Taylor, USA plant in 2024, and plans to continue efforts to improve profitability to secure investment funds.
On the 28th, Samsung Electronics stated in a conference call, "Demand for semiconductor foundries is expected to remain strong, centered on advanced plants," and added, "We plan to continuously invest by analyzing various factors from multiple perspectives to ensure stable foundry supply."

They further explained, "Specifically, the new line at the Pyeongtaek semiconductor plant is targeted to start operations in 2023, and the Taylor, USA plant in 2024, with efforts underway to secure investment funds," and "Profitability will continuously improve through price normalization and cost improvements."
