The prosecution is investigating allegations that the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family provided draft policy materials in response to a request from a Democratic Party expert to supply materials for use in the 20th presidential election campaign pledges. Previously, the investigation team summoned former Minister of Gender Equality and Family Jeong Young-ae and former Vice Minister Kim Kyung-sun as suspects for questioning. They also summoned and investigated Democratic Party experts from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family and policy directors, as well as other ruling party officials at the time.
