Ulsan City Announces Analysis of Donghae Line Phase 2 Usage Status ... Taehwagang Station Used by 1.69 Million People
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] An analysis of usage from December 28 last year, after the opening of the Donghae Line Phase 2 section Ilgwang~Taehwagang, until June showed that Taehwagang Station recorded a total of 1,693,922 users, with a daily average of 9,157 users.
Monthly users at Taehwagang Station were 53,836 immediately after opening, 319,141 in January, 208,999 in February, 213,959 in March, 271,661 in April, 343,019 in May, and 283,307 in June.
The daily average number of users decreased from 10,295 in January to February and March but increased to 11,066 in May after social distancing was lifted in April, then slightly decreased to 9,443 in June.
The total number of users of the Donghae Line metropolitan railway section from Bujeon to Taehwagang was 16.05 million, with an average monthly usage of 2.67 million.
As of June, the station with the highest daily average number of users was Busan BEXCO Station, followed by Gyodae Station, Bujeon Station, and Taehwagang Station, which ranked fourth.
